PRP/CGF  Plasma Treatment

F.A.Q.

What is PRP ?

PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma is blood plasma that has been enriched with platelets.

As a concentrated source of autologous platelets, PRP contains (and releases through degranulation) several different growth factors and other cytokines that stimulate the healing of bone and soft tissue.

PRP was first developed in the 1970s and first used in Italy in 1987 in an open heart surgery procedure. PRP therapy began gaining popularity in the mid 1990s. It has since been applied to many different medical fields such as cosmetic surgery, dentistry, sports medicine and pain management.

Today PRP therapy is also widely used for cosmetic and rejuvenation treatments.

How  PRP is obtained?

Platelet Rich Plasma is obtained with a safe blood draw and special centrifugation with a phase separator device that separates the different components concentrating the platelets in a layer called a Buffy coat.

Properly separating the Buffy coat elements from the rest of the blood is not an easy task. That is why separation method plays a fundamental role in the actual concentration of the platelets.

Not all the PRP separation processes are created equal

At Venus Derm Aesthetic center we use a patented sophisticated method called Second Generation PRP, which allows us to directly separate the CGF (concentrated growth factors) and CD34+ (Hematopoietic progenitor cell) from the rest of the blood with precision and maximum concentration.

Concentration means more Growth Factor, that convert into more  cellular regeneration and the best possible final results

PRP with Dermoporation offers a more widespread and homogeneous penetration of the skin and allows us to inject up to 16 cc of Plasma in just 30 minutes.

How Safe is Venus Derm PRP Treatment?

PRP is a very safe procedure because it is Autologous which means it is extracted from your own blood. Therefore there are no risks of rejection or allergic reaction.

The only real risk of PRP is contamination.

At Vero Derm, we use an enclose extraction system that eliminates open-air transfer containers, minimizing any contamination.

How soon PRP results will be  visible?

Results vary by the individual but on average 80% of results are visible in 2 -3 weeks.

Full results will take 6 -8 weeks on average with the exception for Hair loss PRP Treatment which will take 4-6 months
